I have been a student of western philosophy and Indian religious philosophy. I have also been enamored by Buddhism since a long time. Its logic and straight forward approach towards life has always fascinated me. Buddhist silence towards the concept of God is another reason why I am attracted towards its novel approach. I look at it as a unique way of thought. In this site I have put together few things which I have found interesting. I do not look at it as a religious site, its a way of life for me. In 1988 I did my first ten day meditation retreat and got hooked on meditation. Since then meditation has became an integral part of my life. I am a Hindu by birth, and do not care to change my religion. I try to be open minded and when ever I come across things useful in another culture I try to incorporate it in my every day life. My association with Zen has been a long one, and I enjoy its simple and spontaneous nature. The other day I was reading Ezra Bayda's book 'Being Zen' and came across this piece, he says ' Perhaps the one question that we don't ask often enough is " What do I have to offer?" We are so intent on analyzing what we can get from a job or an occupation that we rarely consider the sense of satisfaction that comes from offering our unique contribution.' Besides being a very profound thought it also reflects why a have created this website. Please approach this site with an open mind, and send your comments and suggestions. I appreciate them.
